At Play Residency — Tech Consultant
August 2017
Consulted with three artists-in-residence(Stephanie Acosta, NIC Kay, and Steven Reker) at Museum of Arts & Design(NYC) as part of the At Play: Performing Artist-in-Residence Series.
The artists were brought in to be in dialogue with Studio PSK’s Polyphonic Playground, a massive wooden sculpture covered in sensors directly linked to Max/MSP + Ableton Live.
I spent time with each artist assisting them in their experiential research and training them to develop technological elements of their own final performances, both onsite and off, with technology ranging from contact microphones, a collection of guitar amplifiers, DMX lighting, video, Max, Ableton Live, and TouchOSC.
